Sept. 3, 1941 and attended General Gordon Elementary. He
joined
the RCMP in 1962 and attained the rank of Inspector. He was the author
of the
all-time classic criminal investigation book Footwear Identification which
is still required reading in many jurisdictions around the world.
Mike served in Western Canada and at Headquarters in Ottawa, retiring
in 1996 at Orleans. He was awarded the RCMP Long Service Medal, Silver
Clasp and Star. Survived by his wife Patricia Martin,

Patsy, brothers Richard and Andy, and three grandchildren. Also fondly
remembered by his special K9

was born in Vancouver at VGH on June 24, 1941 and attended Lord
Kitchener Elementary School. Judy married Dennis Waunch in 1975. She
had a long career with the Operating Engineers Union. She and Dennis
sailed their boat and took many trips to Eastern Canada for relaxation.
Judy was the Secretary and a founding member of the Class of '59
Reunion Committee. Judy passed on at the Crossroads Hospice in Port
Moody, BC on December 12'th, 2011 in her 70'th year after a two
year battle with cancer. She is survived by her husband Dennis,
brothers Ben (Sue) and Harry, nieces, nephews, cousins and family.

After graduating from UBC he taught at Killarney HS until retiring in
1998. He married Loretta in 1976 and they enjoyed travelling, hiking,
and canoeing. Tom and Loretta moved to Scotch Creek on Shuswap Lake
where he reconstructed an historic homesteaders cabin and created
"T&L Reflections - A Little Museum". Tom was involved in the North
Shuswap Community Assoc. renovation of the community hall and was
active in the North Shuswap Historical Society. He received an award
from the BC Historical Federation in May, 2010. Tom passed away on Nov.
8, 2010 at Salmon Arm leaving behind wife Loretta, brother Ron (Ruth)
and numerous nieces and nephews.

traveled on foot with his parents to Germany leaving everything behind.
They lived in a camp until 1947 when they came to Canada.
Harry entered the RCMP in 1961 and retired as a Staff
Sergeant
with 27 years of honourable service in 1988. Harry's hobby was
woodworking and examples are found in various locations including
Bridge Community Church kindergarten. He is survived by his
wife
Anna, son Jeff, daughter Leanna, mother Vanda, four grandchildren and
two sisters. A celebration of Harry's life was held Friday Feb 2, 2007
at Bridge Community Church in North Vancouver.

airline industry, first with Canadian Pacific Air until his last role
at Harmoney Airways. In retirement he redefined himself as "chef
extraordinaire", outrigger canoe paddler on his annual Maui stays, and
most importantly "Kappa" to his grandchildren. Brent died suddenly at
home on Sept. 18, 2011 and is survived by his wife Joyce, son Joel,
daughter Hilary, sister Roberta, and grandchildren Nyla, Pelham, and
Celeste.

cancer. Vaile obtained a BEd degree from

University of Manitoba and enjoyed teaching primary school when she
wasn't busy with dancing, hiking, serving as past
President
of the Guelph Arts Council, and designing and sewing costumes for
theatre throughout Canada. One of her proudest achievements was
completing a major hike over the Bruce Trail from the Bruce Peninsula
on Georgian bay to the Niagara Escarpment.
Predeceased by
her son Christopher, Vaile is survived by her husband Bryan, daughter
Jennifer, son Darrell and granddaughter Isabella. A memorial
service celebrating her life was held at St. Matthias Anglican Church
in Guelph, ON on January 15, 2006

1941 in Vancouver. Carol passed away in Malone, NY, August 9,
2008 while on vacation. She had lived in Montreal since 1968.
She left behind her twin brother, Tom, husband of 43 years, John,
children Andrea, Jonathan, and Bruce, and two grandchildren.
Carol had suffered from cardiac disease for many years
culminating in a heart transplant fifteen years ago. She led a
happy and active life since, finally succumbing to a massive heart
attack in March of this year from which she never really recovered.
A funeral service was held August 14, 2008 in Dollard des Ormeaux
at Christ the Redeemer Lutheran Church.

a traffic accident near Alamosa, Colorado on 13 June, 2003. Survived by
his brother Dr. Raleigh Whitinger (Kits '62). Jan
taught
elementary and junior high school at the Holberg military
base on
Vancouver Island after studying at UBC Faculty of
Education. He started in the stamp and coin
collecting
business in Portland OR in 1962 and in1965 moved to Denver CO
where he started his own business, the All Nations Coin and
Stamp
Store. He became a highly respected expert in collectibles in
the
Colorado area and his business network covered much of the Western
United States.

by his loving wife Layne, daughters Deanne (Terry), Stephanie
(Brett), and Rebecca (Sean); six grandchildren; mother Aileen; brother
Byron, and
sister Toni. Predeceased by his father Bert. Deane attended Lord
Kitchener and Bayview Elementary
schools. After grade 11 Deane and his family moved to Coquitlam where
he graduated from Como Lake High, but his heart was always a "Kitsie".
Deane had a lengthy and successful career in the clothing and
fashion industry from which he retired in 2001. After retirement he and
Layne travelled extensively throughout the world. He was one of the
original members of the group
that brought the Kits Class of 1959 reunion into existence and played
an important part in the forthcoming 50'th reunion celebrations. A
memorial service was held Saturday Jan. 10, 2009 at St. Andrew's-Wesley
United Church in Vancouver.
